So which is it?  XFX or Sapphire?  Sapphire is cheaper though.
1) can you overclock by yourself?
2) do you plan to switch cards before your 3 years are up?
3) do you plan to resell the card at all?
4) is cooling a factor?  (do you plan to overclock more?)
5) is the price difference a factor?
1. I don't like to mess with GPU overclocks.
2. Probably in 2 years.
3. Yes
4. I don't have central air just a window unit in my bed room of my apartment.
5. Around $225 is my goal.

by cooling i meant your case.  it looks like you're leaning more towards the XFX.  GREAT company.

that's perfect.  do you mind a fan that might be a little on the loud side?  the stock fans are known for being little leafblowers.  (that can easily be fixed with rivatuner though)

Sound is not an issue but since you have a sapphire 4870 which one do you have?  And is it any good?

i have this one.  i love it, and it pretty much maxes every game out there right now.  (inb4crysis)

sound is definitely not an issue for me since as someone so eloquently put it, i have "strapped a car radiator" to my card.    i put aftermarket cooling on it.  you won't need to though, and i doubt the stock cooler will really be that loud.  i'm going to give a thumbs-up for either the Sapphire you picked or the XFX CrazeD posted, but judging by your intentions, i think the XFX might be a little bit of a better choice for you.

Keep in mind that either card you get, you will be really happy with. The only major difference is that the Sapphire has a slightly different (better) cooler, and a crappier warranty, and it's not factory OC'ed. Not a huge difference.
