....Except it doesn't recognize when you plug an Ethernet cable in?  I have an ECS G31T-M motherboard, and I installed the network driver and it recognizes the motherboard's 'NIC' (or whatever it's called) but it says "network cable disconnected" when I'm trying to set up a connection to the internet.  This is a cable/connection that worked fine 15 minutes ago before with a different computer.

Yes it is possible.

Not sure what you have going on though.  You restart after driver install?

Nevermind.  I thought about it a bit more and realized what I was thinking shouldn't happen.

Next thought:  Have you kicked the thing?

Did you just buy this thing?

Tried new bios?

Kick it again?

If it is for gaming, you might not like the wireless option.

And make sure you restart several times before you give up.  Also try googling it if you haven't already, it might be a common problem with your motherboard.

Question:  When you plug the ethernet cable into the motherboard, does the port light up green/yellow/orange or does no light come on at all?

No light came on at all.  I spent 7 bucks on a PCI NIC and everything's dandy now
