If it helps, when i try to run autorun, "Play Online Now!" and "Start BF2" feature is crossed out. Its unclickable. I open up advanced settings and Upgrade, and theres no vista upgrade. Only XP. Soooo...i dunno... I guess i could call the help line..

So the video.con in all the profiles is set to 800x600@61Hz?

EDIT: Try changing the refresh rate in Documents>Battlefield 2>Profiles>Default>Video.con, too

Death, i did exactly as you asked, but still didn't work.

Finray, i tried your idea as well. Still no go.

What im going to do is uninstall it, then reinstall it, patch it, and try again. Sometimes that works.
Unless you can get a monitor, I think you're fucked BF2 wise as it doesn't support 61hz screens. I remember someone on the forums with a similar problem, I don't think he fixed it.

Try if the monitor supports other refresh rates.

Oh, and using that resolution is really not wise, you get shitty, shitty picture quality. Stick to the native resolution.

it'll be tolerable, my native res is 1680 x 1050 but due to shitty GFX i run most things at 800 x 600, and bf2 @ 960 x 600 for widescreenlolz

the fonts are really messed up in bf2 at that res though

Okay. I think the problem is the Hz of the monitor. I only have 61 Hz available...do i have to uninstall my display driver or...something?
