I took these pics today a block away from where I live. I missed Robby Gordon, coz of the traffic jam, who came in third.

This is Marc Coma, winner in the bikes category.

These on the right are the BMW's 8th and 9th and those on the left are the three VW's, winner De Villiers, 2nd Miller and 6th Depping.

Ah man, I'd have thought the finishing line would've been through a flaming ball of fire after jumping off some giant cliff somewhere in a ridiculously hostile-terrain part of Argentina. Not in Buenos f'kin Aeries right near sergeriver of all people lives, how is that rally or hardcore in the remotest sense

Good show, good show

Buenos Aires is just a symbolic start and finish place, the real race was on a very difficult terrain along 10 thousand Kms. There even is a desert like the Sahara, but smaller.

I always thought the Dakar rally is raced only in Africa and Europe (Paris-Dakar rally)
