I vote the i7 processors. So awesome, they are a glimpse into what is possible in the near future.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I'd personally like to nominate the EEE PC line-up. Not a specific model, but the whole series.

They started an entirely new market niche, made mobile computing more affordable to the budget-minded buyer and still delivered high-quality devices that weigh nothing and can work anywhere and do just about anything just as well as many full-size notebooks. They also made living in the cloud a more typical thing for the average user rather than your advanced or business user.

Say what you will about netbooks, but they have reinvigorated the interest in true mobile computing and are finally putting some real competition out there for the UMPC and MID market.
