A traditional Ulster fry consists of bacon, eggs, sausages (either pork or beef), the farl form of soda bread (the farl split in half crossways to expose the inner bread and then fried with the exposed side down), potato bread and tomatoes.[10] Other common components include mushrooms, wheaten bread or pancakes. All this is traditionally fried in lard.

How is that good? All but one are failing--unless you have a different system...

a fail is 40% or below. 70% is a first. 60% is a 2.1. 50% is a 2.2. 40% is a third.

Thats basically the classification of degree u will get. A first is the best you can get, 2.1 is considered good, 2.2 is average, third is a waste of coming to uni tbh because most people won't hire you.

Someone like Bert can probably explain it better.

An average of all of your modules that count towards your degree. for me first year counts as 0% to my degree, second year modules get a weighting of 40% and third year modules get a weighting of 60%.

It's not really complicated Phish, it makes complete sense when Uni's run their degree programs like that. First year is an experimental toe-dipping year, the second is a step-up and the third is crunch time. The degree marking boundaries makes sense too... ish. a 1:1 70+ is a solid mark, but there are distinctions and honours that are attainable above that, depending on your institution and type of degree (e.g. BA, BSc, etc.)
