I would have needed to pay quite a lot to get similar quality. I heard TN panels are not very good for 24" or bigger. And I think 24" might get a bit overkill for me as I'm pretty close to the monitor.

edit: huge improvement over this 17" none the less...

I was going to pick up a 4870 but when I saw this the same price as the XFX 4870 and has better benchmarks than the 4870 I was like. Besides i've always been an nVidia fan.

CUDA allows you to offload math calculations to the GPU. Mainly it gives you Physx support and the ability to fold
