discuss.
-----------------------------------

Warner in the postseason (10 games):
230 of 360 (63.9 percent), 2,991 yards, 8.31 YPA, 299 yards per game, 23 TD, 12 INT, 97.3 passer rating.

Manning in the postseason (15 games):
348 of 565 (61.6 percent), 4,207 yards, 7.4 YPA, 280 yards per game, 22 TD, 17 INT, 84.9 passer rating.

You'll notice Warner is better than Manning in almost every single efficiency stat and has actually thrown more postseason TD passes than Manning (23 to 22) -- despite playing in five fewer games.

You'll also notice Warner's postseason passer rating (97.3) is higher than his regular-season passer rating (93.8), while Manning's postseason passer rating (84.9) is significantly lower than his regular-season passer rating (94.7).

In other words, Warner's play improves in the postseason pressure cooker. Manning's performances plummet.

All QB stats are affected by the quarterback's pass protection.

That's how Kurt likes 'em.

Kurt was a hero around 2000, but he's riding Larry Fitzgerald's jock currently.  Without Larry he would be exposed as an average NFL QB in the twilight of his career.  All things being equal, and teams aside, I would take Manning over Warner anyday.

I don't think you can rate either one better strictly from the numbers they put up.

Take Warner off the Rams/Cardinals, I think they still would have done well.

Take Manning off the Colts and they are an average team at best.

So does the same thing apply for Tom Brady and the Patriots?

Without a doubt.  I've argued this countless times with my friends - take Brady off those Patriot Champ teams and insert an average QB and they still win.  Great players + great coach = success.  People put way too much pressure and give way too much credit to the QB.  Now, if a team sucks across the board and the QB elevates them to another level, well that's a horse of a different color.

Like your 29 blogs and shifty websites mean anything.  What'd you make like 5.5 cents this week?

I agree with your statement, I just wanted to talk shit.

lol I use those too. We are way off topic right now.

Wish I could see a match up between the Colts and Cards then I would have a better opinion about which QB is better.

You know normally I should support my home town team.  I live so close to the Colts stadium I can walk in 30mins or so.  But, Payton is a bit over paid.  I think he is great but over paid.  I am suffering a 2% Marion county sales tax increase thanks to that stadium.(9% Total.)  I do however love the Colts even if they don't produce again just because I live here.

Actually,it doesn't .
Look at Matt Cassel,he had been sitting on the bench since high school and almost led Pats to playoffs.
As for QB rating:James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley proved it's bullshit
