I'm trying to download some mixes from an online radio show. They're QuickTime and embedded into the page. I tried viewing the page source in hopes of finding the location of the files and downloading from there, but it gives me files that are less than a KB in size.

I've also tried searching a couple torrent sites but no luck.

Any suggestions?

Spoiler (highlight to read):
the LAST thing I wanna do is run sound recorder for 2 hours and save that file

(Here is the website I'm looking at)

Use Audacity, and set it to input either "What u hear" or "Stereo Mixer" or something in between, with the LAME plugin you can export to MP3,

Make sure you set your MSN to Busy, close XFire, and must windows sounds though.

Yeah I could do that... but it's really the last thing I want to do. I'm hoping there's a way to just download the file instead.

Oh, bleh, thought it was a live stream,

In firefox, you right click the page, View Source,

At the beginning of the line, it will say "QT_WriteObject", and after that there'll be a URL like /livebroadcasts/mainColumnParagraphs/010/asset/081211_ref.mov

Find a download manager, and add the url,
http://underworldlive.com/<URL HERE>
so
http://underworldlive.com/livebroadcast … 11_ref.mov

And that should download it.

I'd go directly to the file, just like the link you posted, and even when I save the page it gives me a ~150 byte file.

Odd.

I'm too tired to try to figure something out tonight, and I'm already in bed, but if noone else comes up with anything, I'll give it a show on my (non laptop) computer.

I haven't used quicktime in a LONG time, but I seem to remember the "pro" version having an option to download/saae quicktime files from something your playing.  I might be mistaken, as I haven't needed to use the actual player since 2003-4

Yeah, sometimes you can right-click the quicktime embedded player, and it shows an unclickable link with a 'pro' logo beside it, these files aren't right-clickable at all(At least, I can't CTRL-click them on my mac)
