Well this afternoon whilst rageing at my Internet, I spilt coffee all in my keyboard. After much swearing I removed the spacebar and cleaned it all up, and put spacebar back on.

Now the whole left side of the spacebar doesn't work, which in the scheme of things, isn't massively handy. So, I need a new one.

My budget is around £50, and please don't say the Saitek Cyborg or Allah will strike you down.

G11.

It's solid and proven.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Yeah I also need quite a narrow keyboard, not massive amounts of space on desk.

What sort of keyboard do you favour, mint sauce - 'Gamer', 'Standard' or 'Ergonomic'?

If you're into 'Standard' or 'Ergonomic' - go with a Microsoft keyboard - all the MS keybaords I've used/owned have a good rugged build quality and last for ever.

For 'Gamer' keyboards, dunno, they all seem to big and overly pointlessly gadgety to me, so I've never looked at them.

Actually, if you'd like a slightly 'Gamer' keyboard, but also want a fairly standard layout, the Reclusa may be worth a look - mostly of a good solid build quality, like all MS keyboards - though, having said that, the 'side-buttons' seemed a little 'budget' on the one I had a play with.

No, too busy working. And then not working but not sleeping. Then getting to the point where I need to stay up so that when I do crash it doesn't cause me to sleep past appointment I have tomorrow.

Wait a minute. Only the left side of your space bar doesn't work so you immediately want to drop cash on another?

Unless it's a two piece bar, which would be really strange, and the right side works then it's a mechanical problem. Look under the key for a metal bar in the shape of a very wide U. That clips in on the key and balances it. If it's unclipped or you lost it as you washed it, that's your problem.

This, it really is a fantastic keyboard, also as you have an issue with space, you can remove the keypad.

You can shop around and get it for sub £50. Job's a good'un

IBM 101 is IBM 101. I use a KB-3923, but any old click-clacker will do.

this.  if that's not the issue, then a standard saitek eclipse will be just fine.  why do you need a super-keyboard anyway?
