Me, being a student, i often find myself in a permanent state of being broke.

So when it comes to mealtimes, i need to use every penny i have effectively.

My ideal £5 meal goes as follows:

6 cans carling
1 pack chicken supernoodles

We've got a knockoff Iceland called "Cool-Trader" in Lancs. Last week they had 3 Goodfella's Deeply Delicious pizzas for £3! 3 Quid!

So, one of them and 4 cans of K then spend my last 29p on a milky bar.

I got some soup for $4 at an Ethiopian restaurant.

Wasn't bad.

Remember that's Canadian dollars, so convert that to pounds and you still have at least £5 left

£3.59 half of vodka and a red bull tbh.

But seriously, I tend to live off fajitas: THE student dish of the UK. Everyone eats it all the time.

250g of chicken (£2.25)
Fajita Mix (55p)
Peppers (17p each)
Fajita Rolls (79p or free if you use A4 Paper as a substitute)

~£3.76 and whatever drink you can get with the rest. Usually water laced with 2 packs of Pro-Plus if it's a study night.

I made 4 servings of chicken rigatoni with pancetta, bell peppers and tomatoes for $15 the other day.  At 2 servings that's about £5 a meal, including herbs.

There's a Tesco 2 minutes away, brb. While I'm there I'll get some whiskey too. Hell, while I'm out I'll get some chocolate. Fuck it, I'll buy a few litres of vodka too.

There was this store near me that used to sell Pot Noodle for like 85p per pot. You do the maths. I'm sure if you can find it that cheap down here in London you can find it even cheaper ......up .....there.

When in doubt, Pot Noodle. Perhaps, just perhaps, the greatest invention the culinary world has ever seen.

Look, even their descriptions for their various flavours are slightly humorous LOOK:

You idiot ted, those cans have got to be worth a couple of cents each, go hand them in at the depot and collect your aluminium monies.
