soooo.... I need to monitor some temps (CPU,mobo and HDD(s)) and I've not got access to my apps/utils collection atm, also I don't want to d/l and transfer (via CD) loads of stuff, so which ONE temperature monitoring tool would you download?
speedfan?

for such a wide range, i would pick everest. problem is CPU readings might not be accurate depending on if you have certain quads...

it's a Celery Dual Core
Oh, and I was thinking of giving Everest a try - I usually use Sandra, but it's getting bad at reporting temps on systems I've tried it one recently.

HWMonitor is a great all around solution
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
hadn't heard of that before. very nice!max wrote:

Everest handles a lot of stuff.
Also, I figured I'd mention HDDHealth - it shows the temps of your drives, as well as the S.M.A.R.T. tables and some other junk. Good utility.

A properly configured speedfan is all you need
If you cba then Everest

I have both HWmonitor and Everest. If all you're looking for is temperatures, HWmonitor is the way to go. Otherwise, Everest does a lot more - it's basically HWmonitor and CPUZ combined into one program, plus it has a lot of extra features.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I've decided to go with HWMonitor and HDDHealth to run whilst I Orthos the hell out of it...
