To me and my simple ways, it is wrong to commit a crime, especially one that affects others and their lively hood/well being.

I think people, in general, get used to a certain standard of living.  When they are faced with their standard changing for the worse they are more prone to justify their actions.  Isn't this just an excuse to commit a crime under the guise of hardship?  What bloody hardship are they going through?  Most of the time they have food on the table and a place to sleep.  Their are certainly more trying places to live in.

People just need to man up and deal with what is dealt to them.  Obviously there are certain situations where this is not true, but I am tired of hearing people trying to rationalize crime in any way.
I wasn't trying to rationalize crime. I was just defending the poor and don't want them to get blamed for all the crime.

lol 2:43 AM in New Jersey and I' can't sleep. Again.

I think we do.  I also think we don't care how you get into any situation.  If you commit a crime you are wrong.  If you commit a crime and try to rationalize it because of the situation you are in, you are even more wrong.  Not everyone can help the situation they are in, but I believe the vast majority of those looking for some assistance (or any easy way out) could just get off their lazy butts and fix, or at least make better, the situation themselves.

Ok, never said committing crimes because you have to in order to support your family was the right thing to do. Though I could possibly argue in favor of it. If it wasn't 3 AM.

It's one thing to blame everything on the poor and another to say maybe they could work harder for themselves.

Either way I'll be back in a few hours, I'm going to go pop a bunch of sleeping pills and see if I could manage to wake up for work on time tomorrow.

I take care of my own problems. Because I can. Some people can't and need a little help and before I attack anyone I try to consider what they've went through and where they are coming from.

Sure the recession is causing some crime, but don't blame poor people off the jump of it. Then after somebody claims that not only the poor commit crimes don't use only the irresponsible commit crimes. Then don't say your only poor if you're irresponsible.

You jump on everyone and everything if it's not exactly what you are or like. You don't consider others views on perspectives on things.

Yes, we are successful and we should if it doesn't horribly inconvenience us help those below us rather then stop on them with our big shoes or poke them with our swords from our high horses.
I didn't give you my life story, you assumed that I lived a life in fantasyland. I simply informed you that my life is just as full of unknowns as anyone elses. I simply deal with them.

Some can't, I am willing to help. It is those that won't that I don't care about. It is those that feel entitled to my income that I don't care about. This administration caters to that attitude.
Not caring about them and blaming them for all America's problems are too totally different things. I really don't care about  this new administration and the only reason they got my vote is because Sarah Palin freaked me the fuck out.

Just before you ever blame anything on someone just think of their perspective and situation.
I don't remember blaming them for anything, but since you mention it I can blame them for their own failures, who else do you want to blame, because it certainly isn't my fault. What endless stream of excuses do you wanna use to justify personal failure? What endless stream of excuses do you want to use to justify never getting a job, never finsishing school, and always living off of the hard work of others?

I think people are more likely to cheat on their taxes than steal food from the local Quickie mart.

I thought so as well, until I had a conversation with an employee at Best Buy during Christmas. A ton of theft goes on daily.
