Anyone got any idea why my game has suddenly started crashing when loading into certain maps?
Has been fine until today, played a round on Isla Inocentes, the game ctd at the end of the round, now I can play on some maps but others, maybe just Isla Inocentes it just ctds when loading in...

I agree with Lucien : wrong!

nowdays:
the essex rape aircraft ass bigtime (if you know how to aim )
the j10 is nerfed
all aa's have larger range

pre. days:
if you're a good pilot (wake is the best df map in vanilla) you would get the f35 before j10 have a chance to get near carrier , and a good pilot will be able to take the j10 down before the next one spawns , and then rape their asses of , (I never do) but if being on a newbteam full of retards that gives the retards a chance to cap atleast one flag.

iglas shouldn't be placed on flags since then they'd always be down since the second US caps a flag , the j10s starts bombing it -> igla/stinger gets bombed altho there's nobody in it . But on the other hand if they aren't placed directly on the flags you can sneak / run to it from your flag shooting down the j10(s) / chopper
AAAAND the thing with the iglas/stingers is not that they're placed wrong or too week it's the fact that noone knows how to use them : sitting in it waiting for something to shoot= plane spot you =dead  , you just lie next to it (/ hidden close by , if the planes/choppers are observant) and jump in as soon as they pass , get in shoot both missiles when locked on and as soon as the reload starts: bail -> hide .

and there are so many aa's at wake that if a squad cooperated well enough to do this all at once all air vehicles are as good as doomed...

oh and to JohnG@lt : why suddenly criticising wake when all I said was that the first new map for bf2 came WAY earlier than you stated ...

Played some last night/early this morning whilst smashed after drinking a bottle of vodka at a party. For some reason I was kicking HEAPS of arse. Commonly finishing rounds with kdr like 28/4 or 45/12 etc. Lots of knife kills too

I had the CTD on certain maps issue a few weeks ago.  I solved it by removing my config files (back them up first!), which sucked because I had to re-do my key bindings and video settings, but it wound up fixing the problem.  I don't remember if this game has a folder for cached data, but if it does I'm sure I would have deleted those too.

That thing provides radar-guided uranium hailstorm over 4.5km and take out supersonic missiles.
There should be no aircraft anywhere near the carrier.

The Nelson Bay Deathmatch map looks absolutely massive. Also the new Rush map looks pretty sweet, I just want them to make a non Squad Rush version of Panama Canal.

Yeah but at least those MW2 maps were brand spanking new.

Nelson Bay is still Nelson Bay, I don't care what mode you're playing.

The closest they've got to a brand new map was Laguna Presa. I'd be willing to go back and play some more if they made some brand new maps to learn and play in. I'm sick of the 50 variations of the same core 3 maps.

I'd be completely ok with DICE releasing BC1 maps on BC2, especially if they included them with some brand new maps.

But you're still missing the point: NEW maps please, DICE.
They're trying to win people over with the buy-a-vip-code-for-$10-one-time-and-you're-set idea, but who would find it worth it if it's the same maps they've already played?

Maybe they're just slowly making each map available in all game modes before they release new maps?

Doesn't make any sense but, one can hope they will eventually create a new map. I mean it's not THAT hard.
