Sure, completely understandable. Just sounded for a bit there as if you were widely-associating and stereotyping the Bath/West Country area with racism and general multicultural backwardness-- in which case I question your decision to move there considering your obvious opposition to old-fashioned ideas and stereotypes. I love the place where I'm from completely, and I think racism is equally prevelant in all areas of Britain. Bath may be a 'hotspot' but that's just an unfortunate reality for your friend, one I sympathize with.bennisboy wrote:

But that doesn't mean I'm gonna accept people hating my friend just cos of the colour of his skin. I'm not saying it was definitely racism, the clues just point towards that as a possible reason for what happened
