It's rather hard to explain so here's an example:

John: nom nom nom (John is eating)
Shazzad: Hey Tink Tong did you see that nature program last night?
Ting Tong: Yes I did, why?
Shazzad: Johns meal looks like that Gorillas poo
Ting Tong: hahahaha
John: EEEEWWWWW

At this stage John is put off his food by Shazzad and refuses to carry on eating because of the comments made earlier.

Why? :s

People always seem to be put off their food when something not very nice is mentioned and stop eating for a minute.

I am the only one that doesn't? It still tastes the same, I would probably laugh as well if I were in Johns situation.

That pretty much sums it up.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. It has to do with the texture of the food you are eating. For example, If i was eating spaghetti and someone spoke of intestines, my brain would reflect my thoughts onto my plate and therefore id get that gross feeling as if i was eating intestines.

i'll eat anything so no. sometimes i imagine that those white beans look like maggots/grubs and i fucking hate those things, so i get put off for a little. i'll still eat them though.
