It's not really NOS because the energy is already there, but the premis is the same. I like the idea of slicks, but that's about it for this year.

It's pretty close to the same idea as a hybrid engine. The only difference is instead of using one engine or the other, the driver can choose when to use both.

It's a boost, using electrical energy that was generated from braking forces. The thing is, it's optional for this season and F1 teams are considering whether it'll actually benefit or not, it's upto the teams to manage to overcome the weight/complexity issues and actually use it to lose time around courses.

Haven't watched the vid, already know how the rules are etc.. but I'll watch this soon when I have sum free time

I read some where that the Scuderia Ferrari are using the KERS and every time the car does a pit stop the guys haveto wait a bit because of the electric system if they don't want to become fried chicken.
