Lately, I've gotten friend-request from persons I've never heard of.

First, some spanish-named man, then a friend of a friend, and now a Balkan-named girl.

A friend have told me that Facebook is randomly slinging out friend-requests, without the persons themselves don't even know it.

Is it so?

I don't use social networking sites.

At least you do, I had a break from MSN for 7 months and found out they delete your email and contacts after a 6 month absence. Bye bye school friends and other contact I now can't get back lol.
