Ok if I'm not mistaken and please correct me if I'm wrong but your TK's are held over the span of your playing . Meaning they are carried from round to round . This is BS . I managed to actually play on a server with a killer squad for about 8 hours . We kicked so much ass had had so much fun . I was squad leader and after a while my squad realized that I was a good player , they were too , and all TK's were basiclly forgiven . But then it all came to a sreeching hault and I got kicked for ecssesive TKing . I understand the reason for having such a system now . Although a lil frustrating it keep players from TKing all day and having to rely on votes that the players make to get rid of the TK'er and IMHO doesn't work most of the time . Anyhow I got my last TK just about 3 minutes into the game and got booted . So lame , i wish the TK's were on a per round basis . Get 10 tk's and your gone . Get 9 TK's and start another round ? You should be rewarded with a new set of ten for the next round . So sick of this happeneing just had to bitch and gripe a bit .

10 tk's?

10 as in....ten...?

10 (ten) per round?

It was just an example . And yes 10 generally means "ten" . What is the count of TK's that gets you kicked btw ? Or it there a program running in the background that detects %'s of TK's in such a short time ? What exactly is determining how and why you get banned for essecive team killing ? Anyone here know ?

Heh.  Now, now Morgan let's not judge how some people play the game.  One should not forget the fact that bf2 awards teamkills for things that really shouldn't count, along with stupidity of the arbitrary internet goons assigned to one's team.

Like...
... when you blow up an enemy chopper and the hull continues to fall and kills a teammate (got punished for that one)
... when you blow up an apc leaving a shell, a teammate walks right next to the hull as it blows up the second time, killing the teammate
... when a black hawk with 6 people lags, then crashes and awards the pilot 5 tk's (usually 3/5 punish)
... when teammates find your AT mines and drive over them before the enemy does (annoys me so much, I place them where everyone but the enemy coming down the hill can see them... and always punish)
... AA (This one I just don't understand, it can't hit an enemy chopper 100 yards away, but it can miss and find the transport chopper with the most occupants to ensure maximum teamkills followed with high probability punishing.... GYAR!!!)

To answer the original post.  I don't know what servers you play on but I'm more accustomed to limit 3 punishes per round.  I haven't experienced anything that dealt with accumulation of teamkills.  I think it should be 5 punishes per round as usuallly one stray AA kills the average 3 occupant bhawk is enough to get kicked (more often than not people punish).  With three tks usually it is one instant gone horribly awry rather than persistant foul play.

Holy crap ! Just THREE TK's and your gone !?!?!?! WTF over . How the hell can you even play a full round then ? That's just stupid IMO . Even when I take good care not to hit freindlies it happens - definitely more then 3 a round for me . Even when I'm trying my best . Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrg so frustrating . OK back to play some more heheheheh .

Jonnykill dude its just not good, just as h4r13quin says you kicked for didly squat sometimes and it leaves you propper frustrated seeing the screen pause then all of a sudden - "You have been kicked for excessive team killing", I have seen many posts on here regarding the school holidays, you can't even fart without someone PTK'n. Part and parcel of the game unforutnatly. I think it is aroung 3 normally, but you can also get kicked for continuosly punishing for team killings - thats weird!!!!

People like you are a bane on normal players incsoc. I'll bet when theres no server punish you just sit there and TK your teammates all game. You do nothing but piss everyone off and hurt your teams ticket count, and I for one hope your monitor explodes and sends bits of glass flying at high speed into your face.

Holy crap 3000 tickets ....droooooool . I was having a bad time today on Karkand runnig with 200 tickets . So admins have some weird tastes . Oh well .

Only 3 TK's though ? Can't be . I've killed more then 3 people IAR and still played . I'll have to addmit I've had my utter frustration days where the team does absolutely nothing round after round so I go on a TKing spree just to loose some steam , get kicked real quick and find another server . I took out like 10 people . Took another 3 or 4 before I got booted . Seemed to take a long time too . So that's why I made this thread to find out just how many TK's it takes and what kind of action determins a player getting booted .

Today was wierd . I played for about 15 rounds in a row . didn't tk much , didn't notice many punishments . I was on Karkand . We made it to the MEC base , I was a support unit . I saw this lonewolf , a special forces guy and he used his last c-4 on the UAV . I tried adding him to my squad and he didn't want to join . So I tried again . He refuses to join - I'm like WTF ??? He's over by the artillery calling for ammo . I try again but he says no and starts shooting me . So I ran his noob ass over and got booted immediately . Knowing that I didn't have bearly any TK's against me I'm skeptical about getting booted for doing this . I get the feeling this code might have a line stating in it ( Auto kick player for another running over a player asking for ammo if that guy is a support class ) . I don't know , it just seemed wierd . All my unintentional TK's that I got punished for seem to take more to kick me . But when I run a guy over with no remorse and get kicked it seems there is a criteria I've met that gets me tossed from the game in a heart beat .  This happen to anyone else ? Beep up !

ok i have a question and an issue with the TK system

Question: Why is it that i've been TK'd intentionally with no option to punish? yet for accidental tk's it always asks me.

Issue: On a server "Kentucky Fried Server" a guy "Ragzilla" was repeatedly tk'ing for the chopper(M95) on china side
multiple TK's in a short period, after being tk'd twice and after a clanmate had the same happen. immediately after he killed my clanmate i got irritated and killed him..... insta-ban?

i beleive he is a part of the group that owns/runs the server. its my first ban from any server in any game and it still bothers me weeks after it happened. side note it wasnt just my clan he was tk'ing

so i refer back to my question

or is there an issue with it not registering vehicle Teamkills or whatever that he was abusing or a player admin that was immune to it?

edit: it was my first TK on that server

Probably the server owner....and you killed him. That'll do it.  Just a guess.

If you cannot make it through a round with less than 10 TKs I hope I never play on the same server as you. I don't believe the punish count is cumulative while you are ont he server. If it was, then nobody would be able to play more than a few rounds. I always assumed it resets att he start of each round, but if you really were kicked after one punish, then the number of punishes *mihgt* be dependant on a time period - but I doubt it. More likely you were kicked by an admin using the TK option.

Here is a screeshot of the admin console which controls kicking for TKs. http://bf2cc.com/Screen_Settings.htm The # of TKs is really the number of punishes. The default is set to 3, but server admins can increase or decrease that or turn off punishing altogether. If TK Punish Enabled is off then there is no punishing - period. If it is on AND TK Punish by Default is on, then players are not givin the chance to punish their TKer - they are automatically punished.

Yeah and a server admin will quickly kick anyone that intentionally TKs them or they accidently TK and get punnished for it. Sometimes there is autopunnish.. Also sometimes a server is set to kick at a particular score (-10).

The non-punish is a server-side option. Some servers disable it because the TK system is horrible. If off, the admins have the right to kick people for teamkilling.

ok but explain why he was TK'ing multiple people without being kicked or banned, i had 1 yeah just 1 tk and he had atleast 6...i understand auto-punish being a server option but kicking some and not others is not a server option afaik.
