As of late I have been working hard on qualifying for my Distinguished Service Metal. As I work for this, I find myself in the role of commander more and more. As a commander I have noticed a few disparaging traits and maybe even a lack of knowledge in game tactics of some pilots.

Although it may be fun/ease to make bomb runs on the enemy’s tarmac or carrier flight beck, this does zero for your team. Your team needs you to bomb the hell out of anything moving (i.e. armor, troop carriers and imbedded forces) and shoot down those pesky attack helicopters.

Hmmm. Speaking as a Pilot. Why can't we kill the people BEFORE they get into the helos, or never give them a chance to get into those tanks. Or in the case of the carrier, why can't we keep them ON the carrier then we won't have to worry about enemy troops on the mainland. Hmmm?

Also, How does killing masses of people not help the team? it makes the enemy lose tickets. Lots of tickets. I think that helps the team.

the thing is the only virtual way to take out a helicopter is by either coming strait down from the top and hope it doesnt shoot flares against your missles or gun it down which is difficult and usually results in a crash. also the "dumb bombs" on most of the jets suck nuts and wont do shit unless u manage to land a direct hit. but otherwise i agree with u on the stupid tarmac bombs.

Lol. The wise words from a PRIVATE FIRST CLASS! Noob. It's not hard to shoot down choppers with the cannon without crashing. Also, it's not hard to bomb tanks and kill them in one hit. My point is, why give them a chance to get into those vehicles?

Well, what about the spawn points that have tanks and APC? What about those of us who go and steal the opposition’s hardware and planes?

My point is that too many pilots stay targeted on the enemy’s main base and not the map and what is going on with the different spawn points.

u do what all the time? FUCK yourself??? or fly 500mph into one puny infantryman. the only effective thing against carrier infantry is flying really low and decapitating them with your wings or impaling them with the nose of the jet... its awesome.

Yeah, I hate worthless pilots.

When I'm in the helicopter, I'm lookin' to help out the people on the ground, and I do so by coming to where they are when they start spotting vehicles.  Aside from just making rounds around the map, I can't help people unless they tell me where they need help.

Of course, I still rely on our jet pilots to be looking out for me in that if I have enemy jets constantly bothering me I need our jets to go bother their jets, and when this doesn't happen it's annoying.  It's annoying cause I see those blue jet icons flying over our runway and flying over their runway ad infinitum. If they're at least trying to take down their jets, well, that's all I ask.

Then there's the times when I'm not in a helicopter.

I'll be running around, and spot a tank or whatever, but hey.... no jets and no attack helicopter comes to do anything, yay.  No, instead they're off being worthless somewhere.

It's unfortunate that in most all of my experiences of playing on the ground, everyone in a jet or helicopter is a complete waste of life.

Lol I get killed by it all the time , every day . But I'm with =[4th]=SlayThem' - I suck as a pilot too so I gotta bitch and complain and cry cuz I totally suck flying jets . LOL this guy is trying to say people out there can't hit troops with the bombs accurately ??? Shit there was this one pilot killing everybody . So I jump into the stinger chair to take him out . Every time I got in that chiar he would see me and kill me with bombs only .

( I have roughly 2 hours in a jet - 2 helicopter kills - that's it lol )

Yeah, moron, I fuck myself all the time.
I easily take out groups of infantry with my main gun on the jet. Everyhting I(or any other good pilot) do in a jet is effective.


-=S8M=-Phoenix - I don't know about other pilots, but even when I'm raping the carrier/main base I keep watch on the map for flags going neutral. If I do see one, I will go past a few times to see where the people are capping it from, then I will bomb/ gun them down. and by that time, I will have either killed them, and made way for my ground troops to cap the flag back, or I have bought my guys some time to go in and kill the opposition. Sometimes a plane can't kill everything.

its almost impossible to take out a j-10 while in an f-35b. their just 2 fast and can turn on a dime. do u have any hints for blowing them out of the sky?

I hate pilots who can't or won't take out enemy jets.  I really hate getting bombed to death every other minute because the pilots on our side either suck or too busy bombing the enemy's main base to protect the guys on the ground.

That's another thing I do. I shoot down jets and then KEEP THEM ON THE GROUND.

Oh yeah, and next time you guys get mad at a jet for not coming to your rescue when you have a tank staring you in the face... Here's why.
So many times, I have bombed a tank, and in killing that tank, I accidentally TKed some moron standing by the tank. Instead of a "thank you Mr jet pilot" I get a "You've been punished for a team kill."
Don't get me wrong, I still take out tanks when people spot them/ I see them, but sometimes I just get discouraged from doing this when I think about what might happen afterwards.

Sure when there is a good pilot in a J-10 it can be difficult. But It's not impossible. F35s are my favorite jet in the game. Oh yeah, and J10s are slower than the F35s. F35s are the fastest in the game. Learn to use the F35's wide turning against the J10's tight turning.
I can take out J10s easy when I get behind them, but when a good J10 pilot gets behind me, that's where it gets hard.. learning to lose him. when a J10 is behind me, it's very rare that he'll actually hit me, but I can't lose him. so I have a lot of time to learn his moves and learn what works and what doesn't. And if I find something that works, when I lose him, I'll find him and blow him out of the sky.
Many pilots are better than I am, I've been shot down a number of times, but I can guarantee you that I've shot down more pilots than pilots have shot me down.

I'm always looking for a dogfight, so if there are any pilots that consider themself good and read this, PM me and we'll dogfight.

I suck at flying jets and choppers.  I'm fairly good as a gunner in the chopper so I usually don't fly unless it's a gunner in a chopper.  As a grunt, I want the pilots to kill jets and choppers.  I'm not worried about you taking out tanks.  If I get killed by a tank, fine I can live with it.  Getting killed by jets because our pilots suck or too busy doing other things is what annoys me.  AA sucks against jets and choppers.  I think I got a handful of chopper of kills with AA and no jets.   I got more hits and kills from the Anti Tank Missle on choppers than AA missles.

I agree with slaythem on most of these things.  It is extremely easy to kill infantry in a plane, and I have just barely gotten used to jets.  You see little ants, slow down a little, shoot a few shots, get a bunch of kills.  EASY.

Helos are also easy to take out without missles xD.

Next patch you'll see more jets scared of AA. same with helos.

Meh. I don't slow down.. ever. maybe once or twice while repairing after a rogue missle hit me(somehow) but other than that, never slowdown.

I don’t call myself a good pilot, but I can fly one plane or helicopter the whole map with zero deaths (maybe not a record number of kills, but no deaths).

As of late I have been concentrating my time in either on armor, troops carriers and AA. One thing I noticed is that when the planes are working (bombing) these targets fewer people use them or stay in them for very long!

What's really funny is that you know when you’re doing some good when the other team bitches about you

Happens almost every game. I get called a hacker or there are those people that don't say anything and just start trying to kickvote me. And then there are some games where I get complimented.
