A 21-year-old American says he spent his $14,275 life savings to travel to Britain
to try out for the next "Harry Potter" movie.

Brent Klovstad of San Clemente, Calif., said after "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" producers failed to respond to his written requests for a part in the film, he boarded an airplane and flew to their British studio, The Daily Telegraph reported Friday.

Now Klovstad spends his time camped outside Leavesden Studios in Watford, holding homemade signs in an attempt to garner producers' attention.

The American first appeared outside the studio Monday and has since spent 12 hours a day holding signs reading "Have a Harry Day" and "You are Magical."

Klovstad, who met "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe through his personal marketing campaign, told the Telegraph he will remain outside the studio until he gets a part or runs out of money.

"I'm prepared to wait as long as my savings last, have an open air fare and have told them I will work for free," he said.
