Maybe 60-70% of the time when I wake up now, either after a night's sleep or a nap, I have a mild but very noticeable stomach ache.

I post because I'm pretty sure it is related to stress, I was wondering if anyone has had similar experiences and/or known how to make it shut the fuck up quickly?

Do you usually eat late at night or just before sleeping?

Eating well enough I am pretty sure. I probably don't consume as much as I should during the week, but I maintain a normal weight and it doesn't seem dependent on whether I just ate or how well I have been eating recently. This crap has been going on for a little over a month now.

Going to get the pregnancy tests now, results later.

I don't have any of those symptoms.

Hmmm.

Could be cyclical you know. Stress can often induce stomach problems.

And GodFatherTed has a nice ring to it.

Could be an ulcer?

Symptoms

Some people with a peptic ulcer have no symptoms. However, many people have upper abdominal pain usually just below the breastbone (sternum). You may sometimes feel a pain in your back. The pain usually comes on an hour or two after eating and can be relieved by more food or antacid medicine. It may also wake you at night.

Other symptoms may include:

belching
heartburn
general discomfort in the abdomen
bloating or fullness after eating
feeling sick
vomiting
You should see your doctor if you have:

difficulty swallowing
lost weight without trying to
a reduced appetite
seen blood in your vomit or bowel movements

Lots of caffeine intake or allergies?

I used to wake up nauseous almost every morning due to sinus drainage from allergies...it was a bitch, but ultimately pretty harmless.

High caffeine levels can lead to stomach discomfort, too.

If it continues persistently for 10+ days I would go to a doctor...it's probably nothing very serious, but ultimately it might be better to catch any problems early (stuff like acid-reflux disease or an ulcer will be easier to correct at earlier stages).

And if you eat right before sleeping, the food may not digest properly and can lead to regional irritation of the stomach.

haha, I forgot the inb4gotoadoc

If it was enough to be worrisome I would. I was more looking for an rdx-fx style home remedy haha.

not ulcer

I have had allergies, crushed that shit with allergy shots. I know the drainage stomach ache, this is not it.

Kmar it's like a sinking feeling I guess? You know when you wake up reeeeeeally early it feels like there is a pit in your stomach? Except that goes away after 5 minutes of activity.

You need to start eating more fruits and vegetables, instead of that soggy egg bacon and toast sandwich you have at lunch, and what you eat at home isn't much better: goldfish, granola, and soda. You're just asking for stomach problems.

I eat shit when you're around because it fits in a bowl. Been eating pears and oranges lately, meat and vegetables at dinner, half gallon of water a day...you don't see me all day.

If your under enough stress it may be an ulcer.  Have you ever vomited blood or anything of the sort?
