Basically my PC atm is like so

1 200gb
1 250gb.

The 250gb is where most of my media is sat, but it's on it's last legs.

The 200gb is where everything else is.

Now if i want to back up all my media onto the 200, but if i just drop it on normally, would it slow the drive/os loading down?

Yeah you can just drop it on, just make sure you use a good defrag tool once you've done it.

Failing that, just pick up an external drive and drop all your music on to that. A good 500gb external drive will cost you £70ish.

Once you're done, send the dying drive to me.. will still be better than my 80GB IDEs..

You can get a TB for about 70 quid.
