@ Hope, I did that. Was sprinting toward a concrete block. Mistimed my jump and smashed a shin on it. Hurt a lot. No stitches though, they just whacked a bandage over it and said try not to walk on it for a few weeks.

mine was a bit of a weird doctor, he called an assistant to stand next to me with a huge syringe so I focused on that and in the meantime he poured alcohol in the gaping wound....

Seen a compound fracture at a go-kart track before. One of the guys working there went to help someone whose car had got stuck on the track, as he's standing there another car comes around, smashes into his leg against the back of the other and crack. My dad's a paramedic so he was tending to him, that's when I got a good look at it when he rolled up his jeans. Shudder.

I am a nurse so it comes with territory, I have three:

First a bloke who attempted to kill himself by putting a shotgun under his chin and discharging it. He had his head tilted back and the barrel under his chin so the shot basically removed the better half of his jaw, cheek and nose ( kinda looks like that zombie who drags the axe in RE1 if memory serves). Anyways they rebuilt his jaw using a shitload of plastic, metal and bone grafts.

Second a bloke suffering a particular mental illness cut his own penis off with a fishing knife. Now I have seen all those penis amp pics doing the rounds on stile and the like but folks seeing a dude come in with his knob in an esky next to him is no comparision. Involuntary crossing of legs if you know what I'm saying.

Third a elderly woman who came in from the bush had a dehisced abdo wound that had become infected was full of maggots. Not much visual gore impact but hands down worst thing I have ever smelt.

PS : I love my job

I have a friend who plays Rugby, and he's done so much damage to his knee that his kneecap can actually go around the back of where it's supposed to be. Seeing him stand up, tense his thigh muscle and see his kneecap move freely about is pretty sick.

Its odd, I think Im going to be sick when i see blood but when I do I don really feel anything, like when you get blood drawn or taken, I feel fine.

I have to say that vomiting is a fate worse than death for me either because it doesnt happen often or its just me(its just unatural). Anyway, I got a bug and I spent the whole night by the toilet waiting to vomit(fucking horrible). So I start heaving and this dark brown stuff comes up in a very large quantities every once in a while over a period of about 5 hours. At first I was like eww gross that looks familiar. Then I realized it didnt look like anything I ate but in fact the stuff that was coming out of my butthole... diahrrea. I dont know if it was but it looked sure similar and I never want it to happen again.

Dissected a cows eyeball at school.

Seen a few dead (variously squished) animals.

Had a few cuts and scrapes.

Think that's about it.
