Off-topic but after watching that hunter video, it reminded me of a dream I had a long time ago (before L4D came out). It was very realistic, and I was able to leap great distances and climb on top of things and bounce of walls, similar to what the hunter can do.

Hunting rifle is useless because it has slow rof, small clip, and it can't hit shit when moving. In L4D when you are not moving you have to be able to spam bullets like no tomorrow (e.g during hordes). Thus it is pretty much useless in all situations. The scope gives almost no advantage because the distances in L4D are pretty close all the time.

Except for the fact that you also have to stand still and crouch for the M16 to be any accurate at range.
It also does not have the horde penetrating ability.
I've taken charging hordes out with two shots from the Rifle, because they run in a tight pack at you.

TF2 and L4D have separate dev teams. The TF2 team worked on L4D for a month to iron out map balance issues and Director problems with L4D.
Turtle Rock Studios, despite their close association with Valve before they were purchased mid-way through L4D's development, have maintained most of their independence as a studio and are still in control of L4D's further development and patching. Valve isn't neglecting L4D, they have mentioned more than once that Valve South are working on new content and a new game mode. Despite Valve's ongoing development projects and new ones on the horizon, the administration of steam and projects like steamcloud, they still employ less than 200 people in total.
Give them a break hey? Part of what makes them such an awesome developer is the small teams in which they work. Its supposed to help preserve the original vision or design integrity or some crap like that and given that what they crank out are generally top class games, I can believe it. The guys who made QW:TF had a major hand in TF2's development from what I've heard, roughly 9 years that game spent in production. This is not the Infinity Ward/Treyarch shovelware partnership, Valve takes time and actively work to fix what's broken in their games while delivering new content and balance changes well after most companies stop supporting a game.
I'm not saying they are perfect, but they are a damn sight better than some devs and publishers out there. Look at it this way, you are wondering when they are going to fix the problems, not if.

After a few months TF2 was relatively bug free, balanced, and it worked. The same still can't be said about Left 4 Dead . I think the stellar support for TF2 has raised my expectations too high.
