Deciding on new graphics card, and there seems to be a bunch of stuff happening lately between Nvidia and AMD, and I'm a little confused. From what I understand the 4870 is basically equal to the GTX 260 Core 216, right? But what about the new cards (GTX 275? and 4890)? Are they gonna be any better, and what price will they be at?
with the latest price drop on the GTX 260... its now priced almost equally to slightly slower HD 4870.

Seems that from the review on that card that it isn't the 55nm version. Is there a big difference between the 65nm and 55nm version?

pretty much
65nm and 55nm have same performance... slight difference in looks, cooler and load temps but thats it.

Is it difficult to overclock a video card? The reason that I ask is because I don't want to pay an extra money for s "Superclocked" edition of a GTX 260 when it's something I could do fairly easily for free.

download that and set the stock graphics card to the same as the overclocked or higher its very simple.
