Cross Canada Road Trip: Places to go?

Me and a couple of my friends are planning a road trip across Canada this summer from July 25th to August 9th.
Anyways, We'll be leaving from Montreal, Quebec and probably going all the way to Vancouver, BC

Is there any places that we should stop by? We will also take the Trans-Canada Highway most likely, we can always alter the trip a bit if something is really worth seeing. We are already planning on stopping in major cities, but that's pretty much it for now

In Vancouver, Head up to Grouse Mountain or even Whistler, Grouse, on a sunny day, has an overview of all of Vancouver, Whistler has a fair bit of stuff to see.

Go in May, then you can come see the show that I'm currently running lighting design for.

Yeah, go to WEM, don't bother with the Mini-golfs though, the amusement park's epic awesome though. If you ride nothing else, ride the Galaxy Orbiter.

Also, if you decide to go shopping, do it in Edmonton, NOT Vancouver, the clothing in Vancouver is terrible, WEM had much better stuff in the same brands of stores.
