I've got a 4-5 hour flight to Dominican Republic on Monday. I'm taking a trip to the library later today and I need suggestions for books. Something military or mystery based would be good.

I've heard good things about Tom Clancy and John Grisham. Are there any ones in particular that you would recommend?

Watchmen.

Do it.

Even if you've seen the movie.

It'll definitely last you 4-5 hours (it's 414 pages long).

That and it does count as a mystery.

Sorry, I should've specified. I'll be doing some reading during the week as well. I'll probably check out a few books.

I've read them all about 8 times I need something new.

Poseidon - I've heard the book kind of spoils the movie. Is one better then the other? Which one should I read/watch first?
Ioan - Thanks. I'll look that one up.

Get a H.P. Lovecraft novel collection. They're short and intense horror stories. The case of Charles Dexter Ward is longer but excellent.

Of course the book spoils the movie, lol. It's got the ending! Actually, no it doesn't. The ending is changed.

I suggest reading the book first tbh. It'll give you a better understanding of the story. But don't take too long as you might miss it in theaters.

The Stranger by Albert Camus is a light read and only a little over 100 pages long.

The Rainbow Six book by Tom Clancy is pretty good.

You'll recognize some characters if you've played the game.

..I've never seen a Splinter Cell book. D:

Edit: Oh, it's not written by Tom Clancy...just has his name.

Ever read Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr? The movie for Eragon was crap but the books are nice to read, can't wait for the 4th(supposedly the final one) to come out
