ok, so i am selling a laptop on ebay and i get a message from this guy saying he wants to trade laptops instead of him paying for mine...is it a scam or not.......btw he said we will ship it out at the same time and trade tracking numbers.
why would you want another laptop if yo are getting rid of yours. And it obviously wouldnt be better because he is trading it?

Has to be a scam. If you're getting rid of your laptop, the only way to make some profit would be to exchange for money. If you trade for another laptop that apparently is better then it's a scam. Regardless you're back where you started.
well the thing is its way better its a mac book pro 17inch...and mine is a aleinware area 51
If you're trying to get rid of a laptop why would you even accept another one as payment? Why would he want to buy a laptop if he's already got one? Why would he buy an inferior laptop with a superior one or if the other way around, why would you accept an inferior laptop for a superior one when you're trying to get rid of a laptop anyway!?
No no no this doesn't make any sense at all!

Just don't accept. Report the guy. Don't do any deals with him, no matter how good they seem.
