Hey.

I have this survey to do for college and it requires serval (4) users of computers to fill it out. Thought I may as-well get valid results than making them up. If you have a few minutes to fill it out, I would be grateful.

The questions can apply to any HCI related device tbh. Ipod/Laptop/DVD player...

A) If the device used for work and if so, What for?

B) What difference does it make to the users life?

C) How does the user access the activities available on the device - By GUI, Menus or 'run'

D) How useful is the device and why?

E) Is the user confident with using all the features?

F) How easy (or not) was the device to use initially?

G) How easy (or not) did they find accessing the activity/software/feature when they first started using it?

H) Does the user take the device on holiday, If so, what do they use it for?

I) What difference has it made to the user to be able to interact with the device?
Cheers.

storing and listening to music and video.

B) What difference does it make to the users life?
not a huge amount of difference, if ipods didn't exist i'd just have bought a creative zen probably, might still do so.

C) How does the user access the activities available on the device - By GUI, Menus or 'run'
GUI i guess

D) How useful is the device and why?
quite useful as it stops me from just day deaming when i walk the dog and day dream to music instead.

E) Is the user confident with using all the features?
yes

F) How easy (or not) was the device to use initially?
idiot proof easy

G) How easy (or not) did they find accessing the activity/software/feature when they first started using it?
easy

H) Does the user take the device on holiday, If so, what do they use it for?
yes for storing and playing music/video

I) What difference has it made to the user to be able to interact with the device?
if i couldn't interact with it then it'd be useless

A) If the device used for work and if so, What for?  Gaming, Baby! That and school work.

B) What difference does it make to the users life? Stops me from hanging myself because of being bored to death.

C) How does the user access the activities available on the device - By GUI, Menus or 'run'? All of above.

D) How useful is the device and why? Very useful, see b.

E) Is the user confident with using all the features? Yes.

F) How easy (or not) was the device to use initially? I dunno, I built it myself, what do you think?

G) How easy (or not) did they find accessing the activity/software/feature when they first started using it? Everyone with a medium IQ can use Vista.

H) Does the user take the device on holiday, If so, what do they use it for? No, I find it hard to carry a heavy computer to the beach.

I) What difference has it made to the user to be able to interact with the device? None..... I know how to use computers like everyone else... rite?
