Tons of guys straighten their hair nowadays, Finray you need to stop advertising it as if it's a unique and rare trait. It's like the essence of 21st century metrosexuality; if anything you're a conformist now, a member of the new-wave of modern-age males with their pampered faces and straightened hair.

All ahoy!
Wewt. I remember making a thread on it once, I think I was the only person who said they did it everyday. So, in essence, I am unique, Uzique. (cwatididthar?)
I know several guys who straighten their hair every day.

Edit :

@ Finray - We would never ask that of Uzique! We know his brain doesn't have the capacity to comprehend such a simple task.

Sorry guise im too busy contemplating the great questions of life and epistemology to care for your petty social civilities and niceties!

In fact I'm only being moderately nice now because I am meditating on some inspirational Romanticism and it has elevated my spirit to such a state of stunning sublimity that I feel quite transcendent and enlightened; Coleridge on opiates, Wordsworth on a hilltop; Byron on some choice poontang. I'm all over it.

I'm that serious.

Wordsworth not only on a hilltop, but rather 'Lines Written a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey, On Revisiting The Banks Of The Wye. During A Tour. July 13, 1798.'

Come get some!

My hometown is pretty close to Tintern Abbey so I feel a Romanticist, spiritual, intellectual and erotic link with Wordsworth when I read his carefully metred verse. Beautifully crafted... sexually charging... I cannot tell a lie, I pre-ejaculated a little bit.

The verse usually refers to the entire poem . Verse is a form of literature/writing, you're thinking of a stanza.

I'll treat you to the opening though, feast yourselves on Romanticist greatness that will lift your soul and gently massage your scrotum:

FIVE years have past; five summers, with the length
Of five long winters! and again I hear
These waters, rolling from their mountain-springs
With a soft inland murmur.--Once again
Do I behold these steep and lofty cliffs,
That on a wild secluded scene impress
Thoughts of more deep seclusion; and connect
The landscape with the quiet of the sky.
The day is come when I again repose
Here, under this dark sycamore, and view                        10
These plots of cottage-ground, these orchard-tufts,
Which at this season, with their unripe fruits,
Are clad in one green hue, and lose themselves
'Mid groves and copses. Once again I see
These hedge-rows, hardly hedge-rows, little lines
Of sportive wood run wild: these pastoral farms,
Green to the very door; and wreaths of smoke
Sent up, in silence, from among the trees!
With some uncertain notice, as might seem
Of vagrant dwellers in the houseless woods,                     20
Or of some Hermit's cave, where by his fire
      The Hermit sits alone.

Yeah, I myself was referring to the metrical structure of the entire verse...

So to 'quote' what I was referring to, I'd have to copy and paste a 175-line poem. No ty.

Ehh, not bad spose. I never really got into poetry, for example take Norman McCaig. It is said that he wrote his poems in the space of one or two ciggerettes, calling them a "one or two fagger". Now, if he wrote his poems in this amount of time, then how was he able to encorporate every figure of speech, every structure, synonym, piece of imagery, etc etc, if he only had 5-10 minutes to work with? Either he was a pure genious, or it was luck. Or we're looking too much into the poem, and finding things there by pure chance.

No, it's more that you're looking at shitty Norman McCraig, not one of the Romanticist greats, or a true canonical Poet. Big difference between doggerel and epic masterpieces. Trust me, all of the revered English poets were meticulous in their design, spending years writing only several hundred lines. Norman McCraig is wank.

So last night was my school's open mic night. I was doing rhythm guitar for my band (well, I'm normally the manager but the bassist couldn't make it. And I couldn't find a bass to borrow. So I used a guitar and learned the guitar part in like an hour lulz, we sounded like shit but oh well). My friends convinced me to ask her to prom before we started the song... basically I said "I wanna dedicate this to someone special in the audience, she is awesome and rocks my world" then asked her to prom.

She said yes
you have more testicular fortitude than i could manage in a night of rockband with close friends
