Ok so I've been out of BF2s action for a while so I was not aware of the oh so popular Karkand glitch. Serves me right for not checking up on the forums.
So today I'm playing on some random server and me and 2 people are trying to take over the hotel when one of them gets knifed out of nowhere. I'm like WTF, so I go revive him and as soon as he's back, my other teammate gets knifed. So I go revive his sorry ass and I jump down to look around etc. Finally, after about 10 requests to the commander, I get the UAV overflight which shows 2 people there in the hotel area, but they were nowhere to be found.
So now I go back up and once again my teammates are getting killed. Now I didn't know what to do, so I just kept reviving them. They would come back, look around, jump up a couple times maybe and get killed again. However, the flag SLOWLY came back to USMC control, so we had a reason for staying there.
Anyway, one of them finally leaves the area and the other guy is in one of the corners up there and gets knifed. So I go, revive him, and immediatelly he gets knifed again. Now for the record, I had yet to witness a hacker/glitcher in BF2 so I really had no clue what was going on, I didn't even suspect foul play. But as soon as I revived him this time, he managed to squeeze a "omgwtfbbq glitcher under the hotel stop reviving", and then he got knifed again.
I was like WTF is this guy talking about so I kept reviving, and the glitcher kept knifing, until we finally got control of the flag and people started spawning with us. Finally the glitcher types "lololo roflcopter you kept reviving that guy and I was under being a smacktard omglol" or something like that and it hits me as to what had happened. So I felt terrible for my teammate who suffered through the whole flag capture, I was mad at the damn glitcher cause he got his damn Expert Knife Badge, and I realized none of that would've happened had I gone to BF2s more often!
Oh yea, I got best medic that round for getting 100 revives... ok no jk, I got a measly 15 revives total for the round.
