@ the warm beer thing. Misconception. Beer is served at room temperature in England afaik (too young to legally drink there at the time and my family wasn't going to let me sneak some), generally it comes up from a cellar which is very, very cold. It is at least as cold during the British winter as a beer from a fridge here in the NT. Brits can feel free to correct this but my great uncle in England (labor voter for the record) and I had a bit of a discussion over it. I told him the average temperature of a beer in the NT when served and he laughed and said 'cold beer my ass'.
