The tail is nice. The rest is shit. Buffalo isn't bad. A lot like beef.
Crocodile is... Weird.
Seriously. Sounds dumb but it's a white meat and tastes a bit like a cross between pork and chicken. Had it in one of the restaraunts up here once.Killed one with my bare hands by punching it in the eye, was stranded in the bush for two months straight. Roasted it on an open fire after skinning it with a blunt rock and hanging it up to bleed using three palm leaves and a shoe-lace.

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
The only beer that we serve at room temperature here in the UK is specialist cask ale (or real ale), they are supposed to be served at slightly higher temperatures in order to get maximum flavour out of them. But as you rightly point out they are kept in cellars that tend to be cold anyway, even in the summer.Flecco wrote:
@ the warm beer thing. Misconception. Beer is served at room temperature in England afaik (too young to legally drink there at the time and my family wasn't going to let me sneak some), generally it comes up from a cellar which is very, very cold. It is at least as cold during the British winter as a beer from a fridge here in the NT. Brits can feel free to correct this but my great uncle in England (labor voter for the record) and I had a bit of a discussion over it. I told him the average temperature of a beer in the NT when served and he laughed and said 'cold beer my ass'.
Your standard lagers, bitters, ciders and stouts are all draughted at 'extra cold' temperatures these days, probably the same as any other country.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
Yeah they're considered a pest by the aussies so they might as well eat them when they cull a few.Macbeth wrote:

Problem is the Kangroo is a national emblem (see RAAF) and people feel weird eating skippy.
Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Er wut?Problem is the Kangroo is a national emblem (see RAAF) and people feel weird eating skippy.
Pretty sure everyone here is proud of the fact that Australia is the only country in the world where its ok to hunt, shoot, barbeque and eat the national emblem.
Fuck Israel
Trouble is nationalism has been given a bad name, racists tend to latch onto it to give themselves legitimacy eg the BNP.Lowing wrote:

Hitler wasn't a big help either with his 'National Socialism'.
And its true, everyone is allowed to be racist or nationalist - except anglo-saxons, and anyone who has resources the US needs.
Fuck Israel
But the point still stands, natonalism in a country that does not want western influences seems to not be labled as racist, it is understandable, reasonable. So why can not a western nations nationalism who do not want ME influences be considered understandable or reasonable? Who iare the racists again?Dilbert_X wrote:

It's "cultural protectionism", whereby the dominant culture of the time seeks to close its ranks to outside influence and prevent change... which is ironic considering that said culture has usually already been influenced and shaped by years of predeeding outside influences. Just look at the English language now compared with Shakespeare's days, why aren't we all saying things like "where for art thou" anymore? ...because things change, that's why. The English language itself (an essential ingredient of what one would consider "Britishness" one might have thought) borrows about 70% of its words from French, how "British" is that?LiamPK wrote:
BNP (British National Party) are always saying preservation of "British Culture" as were aparently being invaded by invisible foreigners.
Can someone explain to me what "British Culture" actually is?
and why it is unable to change?
To me it seems like a bit of racist spin, to cover up the fact the BNP have no time for anyone who is not of a white origin, to divide an already dividing nation and make people belive that everyone in Britain should be white, Protestant and anti-europe.
I mean british culture as in hailing down to a birth-right monarch?
Waving a flag with colours on it?
The same mentality exists in America, but it is even more bizarre there because it is a country full of immigrants, with each denomination labouring under the illusion that they are more "American" than the next.
The powers that be cannot expect to perpetuate an economic model like globalisation without expecting cultural globalisation too, they go hand in hand. I don't necessarily agree with allowing cultural identities to be completely eroded but cloaked racism is not the answer, integration is. I've already heard the odd African kid speaking a bit of Gaeilge here in Ireland, which is nice to see.
I guess the racists are the ones who have spent the past 50 years trying to impose Western 'values' on the ME and are now surprised its blown up in their face.lowing wrote:

Great point... lowing can't seem to appreciate why the Middle East has such a strong opinion of Western imperialism and yet he himself displays the exact same mindset in his attitude towards Middle Eastern culture encroaching on the West. Definition of irony anyone?Dilbert_X wrote:

No not really, I am pointing out the obvious, thay you apparently can not deny, that I am racist for not accepting or wanting ME encroachment in the west, yet the ME are not racists for resisting encroachment of the west.Braddock wrote:

No one said that Middle Easterners were not racist, or in many cases incredibly conservative, what most so-called 'liberals' on here try to argue is why should there be one rule for the West and another rule for the Middle-East? If you agree with cultural imperialism then at least be consistent, don't start crying when it happens to your society.lowing wrote:

I've always said that the West should stop meddling in the Middle East and should stop telling them how they should be conducting their affairs... likewise I believe that if any Muslim (or any member of any other ethnic group) is not happy living in Western society they can go back to where they came from.
I am consistent in my opinions Braddock. I do not want the ME here, and I do not give a shit about democracy there. They can stone themselves to oblivion for all I give a shit. I am against "meddling".Braddock wrote:

You have given your opinion and I accept it, but you still have not denied my observsation that it should be fine for the ME to "encroach" on the west and we should be "forward thinking" and "progressive" in its attempt, but any such encroachment on the ME is regarded as "meddling" and a negative influence.

I love how such an opening post such as this.. Were it comes out that a political party is trying to keep English the way it is, turned out to be a raciest group. Then everyone who was defending them are now raciest.. Please when making a thread like this please give more information..

My opinion is this... globalisation is a reality and as such people move around the globe to follow the work, that is a reality, a reality brought about by the US and Western economic vision for the world. If people are coming to the West to do the jobs that Westerners feel are beneath them then so be it, the best we can do is try to integrate them into our society as best we can... and this does not mean banning Christmas or turning to Mecca five times a day. If you do not want to accept this reality then prepare to have toilets that don't get cleaned and streets that don't get swept.lowing wrote:

I would be happier if we could be more self-sufficient as modern nations, if we could live within our own means and not rely on plundering the resources of others but that is not the case and many people, both in the West and in the Middle East do not like this... it's ironic lowing that you actually have more in common with a fundamentalist Muslim than a moderate Muslim!
The BNP in theory is a party with a reasonable philosophy i.e. British Nationalism... nothing wrong with that.lowing wrote:

Actually, I have nothing in common with fundamentalist or moderate Muslims.
I have not strapped a bomb to my chest lately in hopes of blowing up some kids, and I do not worship a child molester/murderer as the one who will guide me through life.

...and btw you do have stuff in common with fundamentalist Muslims. You both believe your culture and way of life should not be eroded by foreign values that you disagree with, you both also refuse to condemn as criminal the attacking of another way of life in the name of your culture and values.
That's the way it should be too... this economic crisis is bringing us back to reality a bit at least.cpt.fass1 wrote:
