Yeah, it's from you're custom localization files.

If someone were to upload the original ones, I could fix it.

Yeah, mine did that too...it's because your old loc files won't have the info for Blue Pearl. Gonna have a go at fixing mine, all you should need to do is copy the relevant lines of text.
Strangelove, I can email you the unmodded 1.5 files if you want, unless you have a better way of uploading them here?

Gonna run the patch again and see if that restores them...

Just tested the same method myself, it works fine.

Was thinking if anyone didn't have Tampa installed before patching, they would have the same problem there?

Idk if i should dwl 1.5 and start playing BF2 again... The USMC/PLA city map seem nice but people are complaining about the time it takes to prone etc...

Yeah, it only really affects prone-spamming, which is something that detracts from the game anyway.

It only gets in the way with the ARs, but even still at the range where you need to prone to be accurate, it takes long enough to die that waiting to get full accuracy isn't such a big deal. At all other ranges, people severely underestimate how accurate you are when crouched.

So aside from that it adds widescreen support, a really great new map, noticeably better reg, more RAM allowance and there is not longer a lack of servers running AF or EF.

From what I've heard, turning your anti-aliasing off cures it.

I have the same lock up problem but have yet to try the cure.

If you press ESC and get to the menu then alt tab it works. I can now effectively game and chat on msn.

The hitreg changes are awesome, I can nail people miles away with the G36C, and I think the C4 sticks to tanks better now.

Not for me
When I alt-tabbed back in, I was left with a black screen and the menu music playing. BF2 mouse icon was there and I could move it around, but that was it. Had to ctrl+alt+del and end the task to get out of it.
