My computer is working fine but the monitor on button just keeps flashing on and off and I have no idea why. Does anyone have a clue to what I can do to make it stop flashing?
unplug it from the socket?

I just tried to unplug it from the computer and plug it back in and it still is flickering. I wonder if its the motherboard or the monitor.
Did you also unplug the power cord? If the monitor stays on, I'd guess the problem is with the monitor. Usually video cards either work or they don't. There's not much in between. Do you have another monitor you could plug in to test?

I just tried unplugging the power cord and now the light on the monitor is staying on with some flickering when I turn it on but its a really dimmed blue light now, not as bright as it used to be before this problem.
Mine does that when its in sleep mode. I move my mouse and it works
Thanks guys and Its not in sleep mode sup. Its flickering very fast but now it isn't flickering anymore. weird. I hope it doesn't do it again.
What did you do to make it work? Next time you can also try swapping the monitor cable from one DVI to another on the graphics card.Beer*Abuser wrote:

Well, I unplugged the power cord for the monitor and It was still flickering and all of a sudden it came on and stayed on. I was talking to a clan member or mine and he was saying its probably just the light messing up and it has nothing to do with the monitor since my monitor is working fine besides the light.
And which monitor do you have? Its pretty important fact in a thread like this....
