I don't see your point, most credible careers take 4 years of schooling at least before you get an income. If you play video games so much as to start making money, especially if you make a name for yourself and someone wants to put your name on a keyboard, you probably enjoy your life more then the guy who spends 4-12 years slaving over books to compete, not earn but only be in the running, for a job that will let them live comfortably, and in the worst case scenario, only barely offset the ridiculous stress and student debt of getting in to the career in the first place.
EDIT: Oh right, OP. I'm very cynical about where my country is going but I don't prop up others as godsends. Inversely, if I did love where I lived for some arbitrary reason, I wouldn't be so childish as to shit on everyone else just as pointlessly.
