Therefore I want to make this thread about how Mac sucks compared to a good PC.

Most Macs are eyesores, they're more expensive than they need to be, and they don't really do anything you can't do on different systems. Doesn't sound all that appealing to me.

I just don't understand why I would ever spend so much money on something that I can make myself with an OS that suits my needs better. Oh wait, Macs are shiny, yuppies like shiny shit. Plus they're good for things like musicians and artists right?

Apple have some really nice ideas, but they market all the wrong ones, and for all the wrong reasons.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
