I got pinged for failing a few things on my stationary maneouvers and for driving too slowly (cmon I went like 55 in a 60) but I still was lucky enough to pass

I guess it comes down to how comfortable you are driving. At the end I was really relaxed. Had a kickass driving instructor who took me along the actual test route several times so I got to practice it lots

What the fuck has me posting a handbag got to do with you going all grammer correct on us?  I would happily kick 7 shades of shit out of you, you was on 5 before you took it to the play ground.  I dont give a fuck what kind of university you go or been to.

I'll happily explain the handbag thing if needed.

Problem i'll have on friday (day of test) is that there are many routes he/she/being from another dimension could have me go so i can't just learn them all. Though my major problem and the what i believe is wrong with driving tests is that they test your ability to handle nerves rather than your ability to drive. I can drive at least as good as most of the imbeciles on the road, i just get nervous when i'm around people that are examining me.

Failing over here in the UK is pretty damn common, first time... more often than not you'll be failed for the first time, normally for a stupid-ass reason that wasn't properly your fault as well. In America it seems to be a whole different ballgame - long, straight and smooth roads, automatic cars and piss-easy maneuvers.

Not speaking from my own personal experience; I'd say at least 3/4's of my friends failed their first time.

Aye, i was failed for "being too close to a car in almost stationary traffic". I believe that would be a fair example of said harshness.

Are you nuts?  Maybe for the countryfolk but not for people in the northern cities.

Got that right. My friend once again tried to put me behind the wheel when I was visiting in N.Y. last january but I declined that offer instantly.

The US driving test is 5-10 minutes depending on states and is notorious for being incredibly easy.\

I can't recall the exact law, but although you can get a liscence @ 16 in NY you can't drive in the city for a certain # of months after that.

Yes, I failed the first time but it's statistically proven that they fail most lads my age. I'm doing it in Norway where I can guarantee it's piss hard to pass especially considering you have to fork out in excess of £2000 just to get through the mandatory pre-test stages (ice driving, night driving, two 7 hour drives, 3 day theory, theory test, first aid course, mandatory driving lessons).

The rest was normal stuff for nordic folk but this??? You absolutely serious? What does that 7h drive include? Just getting your ass numb on a stool and the random piss & coffe break at Shell?

Yuuup. It basically consists of a trip to the Swedish boarder and back from Oslo for the instructor to pick up cheap booze and ciggs.

Try doing ur first test in peak traffic on that, then come back to me.

As to the most people failing first time thing. I drove pretty amazingly well on my first test, did my three point turn well, looking everywhere, the dude failed me for not looking enough.... um yeah. Next test I had the same tester guy, drove like shit, and passed.

how is that complicated? lol thats just a one way system that happens to be in a circle. The roundabout i posted travels in BOTH directions and has 5 smaller roundabouts on it.
