Ok, so my parents gave me their old stereo because they had no use for it, two 40w JVC speakers, which basically RAPE the puny 8w speakers in my 5.1.
I currently have the speakers on a shelf behind me with a headphone cable connected to the AUX so I can listen to music off my phone on it.
But then I got this brilliant idea, if I put the 40w speakers on my desk, and plug the AUX into front speaker jack on my sound card, then put the 8w front speakers to the side of me, and plug them into the L/R plug on my soundcard to give me 7.1 sound instead of 5.1.
What do you think?
