If you take a degree in media studies for your BA at Lincoln University and achieve a first, and then subsequently apply for an MA in Classics at Oxford, you are unlikely to be successful.Pochsy wrote:
Are you still allowed to apply to MA programs in subjects you didn't take in your undergraduate? Even if the MBA won't help as much over there it still offers the most opportunity for the least amount of work. Or at least I would think so.
You can switch courses but you're unlikely to be successful if there is not a link between the two courses.
Pochsy's idea involved going to a good university (e.g., say UCL) and taking the easiest subject they offer- this will obviously not get you into a respected subject at top univeristy at postgraduate level.
And, from finny's post, it doesn't seem like he'll be able to get into the likes of UCL.
