The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
At least twenty other people have pointed that out before you.

I wouldn't be surprised if even you have pointed it out before. It's just old and lame.CammRobb wrote:

Since Freezer is not around so much to fill this section I thought I will add some of my little project.
Not complete yet as I have a list of items to do, but all in all it is working.
I need to hard wire the screen into the system, running off of cig lighter.
Fix bezel to fit around screen and AC controls
Radio screen
Music
Also on the list - wire management
Running wires under door jams? What every you call the plastic.
Left to do outside of mentioned above.
Garmin PC
GPS antenna
XM unit (replacing Inno on dash)
Wireless USB stick

why didn't you make them mirror images of each other \\\\\ ///// ? the analogy is having to left shoes.

The US economy is a giant Ponzi scheme. And 'to big to fail' is code speak for 'niahnahniahniahnah 99 percenters'
Because I didn't design them, I merely repaired them.Stubbee wrote:

Anyhow, check out my latest little invention: A camera remote!
RMB activates the auto-focus, LMB takes a picture.
Thank you, Canon, for not making your remote control system a tangled mess like your Japanese origin made me assume.

Well I did the HD555 foam mod like described here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvQ8PzBrHXE although not sure why the guy used screwdriver after removing the screws to remove the driver as it just pops out by itself after the screws are removed.
Anyway I noticed slightly lesser bas impact but the cans have become more transparent compared to the veil they had before. Literally like removing bed sheets from the tweeter of a speaker. Quite an improvement and its really to do in matter of minutes. The mod has taken the HD555 on another level, on the HD595 level to be exact and its completely reversible. Recommended.

i thought you the top-range HD cans, anyway? didn't you just post that you bought them the other week?

So my 595's were a waste of money then?.Sup wrote:

Yes but I still use 555s everyday for movies and teamspeak because they are so comfortable. The transparency I got with the mod is so beneficial for movies.Uzique wrote:

Blade hvala brate
Jens its well known HD595s are HD555 without the foam but much more expensive. Drivers are supposed to be the same.
Oh lawd.
Oh well, what's done is done. At least mine have a higher number though, right?
Currently pricing up the parts for a racing wheel mod.. Going to try to mimic the Ferrari F1 wheel without the cut-off top and bottom, using the standard G25 wheel as a base.
Doing it and buying the parts shouldn't be an issue, finding the time however, is.

This thread needs more posters. Seriously.
In the meantime, enjoy the grill-inspired fix for my leaky radiator tap. The glass bowly thing is the cover of my ceiling lamp. It doesn't fit with CCFLs, so it's really a win-win solution

What are you using that for? If you've already got an amped balanced signal, why kill it?
and for his run (appears to be 1m?) it doesn't matter..Sup wrote:

EE (hats
I'd post my Z80 Christmas lights controller, but it was installed on a breadboard (too lazy to solder), is now missing some parts and I can't find my old schematics. Rrrgh.
