Yo,
I recently bought a new processor, and somehow I managed to break the fan. So I bought a new one, and now I have a little problem, instead of screws the cooler has plastic clips. So is there any item that would help me out or just buy a new mobo?

My mobo isn't really that good and have thought of buying a new 1, and I really like the cooler, but I guess the easiest way is just to return it
+ I can't really find a nice cooler without those damn plastic clips...

Do you have an AMD CPU and did you buy an Intel cooler?

What is the name of the cooler?

As long as it's a 775 socket it should fit, the plastic leg things should just push it and clip into place. They fit the same holes that the screws would.

I have the same Cooler, and it should fit, what is exactly wrong? do the legs not line up with the holes?

I actually broke one my my clips, bent it completely and it was a fucker to get it in, the way you do if with the F7P if I remember correct is you pull up the black clip/white clip and it squeezes the 2 little clips together at the leg ends so they will fit through the holes. You line the 4 legs up like this, then you push down on the black clips which pushes them through the holes and then they click into place.

The white parts just wont go in the screw holes..
I noted that there was something on the back of the mobo which was placed under the processor, says cooler master on it, and had holes at the screw holes, it seems to be glued to the mobo, this effects anything?

You'll have to remove the backplate to use the F7P. Sticking backplates onto the mobo is just a plain bad idea
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

The backplate is just sitting there tight, should I just try to pull it or is there any other better methods?

What the hell good is it going to do to buy a new motherboard? All S775 have the same mounting system...

That problem is already solved. And I already told why.
The monitor is just black and there is no power in the KB nor the mouse when I put it on...
Could this have anything to do with the new video card or that I scraped my mobo a bit while removing the backplate?
