Just read another post in which "[RDH]Warlord " wanted to change his exit vehicle key from enter as he was ejecting after typing.
For those who didn't read it, he uses cursor keys for movement due to using these keys since the original Doom game, I am also in this position and WASD is something I find impossible to get used to. 22yrs of cursors will do that to you.
So, I altered my key config in game to suit and my problems are these.
1. Right CTRL is not present in any of the key config pages but, whilst in infantry mode I can still use R-CTRL to duck, but I don't duck when in a .50cal position in tanks. I cannot assign Right-CTRL to duck in the key config page and get the error "Key is already assigned in common controls" although it isn't. Left CTRL is not assigned either if this is a potential solution to fix the problem.
2. In other games I have used my numpad for weapon selection. In BF2 I am unable to assign numpad 2,6,8 to any controls as I get the same error "already assigned" but they are not. I'm kind of assuming this has something to do with the arrow keys being assigned although I use num1 for voice and num4 for reload and these show as "NUMPAD 1" and "NUMPAD 4" respectively and cursors show as "ARROW UP" etc.
If anyone could tell me which file/lines to adjust I would be very grateful, TIA
