HDD Cooling

I'm thinking of buying a new 1TB hdd but i don't actually have any hdd bays left. So i was thinking of putting it in a 5.25" bay but then it would get no cooling and would be in a dead air zone.

So i'm wondering if i'd have many issues with heat and whether it would cause reliability issues? Or should i just slap a small/low rpm fan in there to cool it?

What are your temps like at the moment? Do you already have a heat problem?

No need, HDs are designed to run at 60*-70*C, it will be fine up there

Nah my case doesn't really have any heat issues. All my other hdd's are running below 30 and the case generally has good airflow. I just wasn't sure so i thought i'd ask.

Unless its a shitty HDD it shouldnt need much (if any) airflow.
