BF2S Forums Battlefield 3 - Main Thread

I saw in some dev interview that they added full squad support. Akin to the system of BF2 or 2142.

3d spotting is fixed (if you don't see the enemy you don't see the red dot), and you don't have to play rush mode.

It plays COMPLETELY different from BC2. I would know, I played the beta. Did you?

In the Operation Metro alpha, conceptually, they had spawn on the squad leader only, except the squad leader could spawn on any squad member.
I say conceptually, because it was broken, as in many people did not ever see the option to spawn on the leader.

Despite the bug, DICE said they decided to go back to spawn on any squad member based on the fact that the attackers on this Rush map had trouble moving forward.

So, you can blame the Rush game mode for their call on this particular design decision.

I'm not saying BF3 is a terrible game but it failed terribly in even coming close to filling the shoes of what Battlefield 2 was.

You had played around 5 hours and your kdr was 0.5, spm was little over a hundred if i remember right...
