I would've named this "Sleepless in Seattle", but I don't look like Meg Ryan, so.. Also, if I had named it "DonFck will have his revenge on Seattle", many of you wouldn't have gotten the Nirvana reference and I would've had DHS on my ass the minute I land at SeaTac.

I took the leap and am going to next Tuesday hop on a plane to finally meet my long time Internet lover, King_County_Downy. Alfie (the tip of our triangle drama) was invited, but he couldn't make it. We cried. I'll be there a week, and considering the time zone difference of 10hrs between WA and Finland, I'll be fucked up from jet lag most of the time. But who cares!

So it's D.A.D without the A, which sucks, but then again it's D.D, like the bra size, so we can't go wrong. (logic much?)

Pics will hopefully be posted in this thread as soon as we are sober enough to do so.

Questions:
- U.S. residents! Any tips for a measely European on his first visit to the New World?
- Long-haulers, tips for fighting massive jet lag? Both E->W and W->E.

I cba to fight the jet lag, so I just sleep when I'm tired and stay awake when I'm not.

Depending on when you arrive/depart, it can sometimes be a good idea to make sure you don't fall asleep on the plane, so your tired as fuck when you land (this works if you land at night their time.)

To beat Jet lag do as follows.
Drink whiskey on the plane for the entire trip.
When you land, continue to drink whiskey.
Go out to a club/bar drink whiskey and if needed some energy drinks.
Go to bed at normal host country bed times.
Wake up with massive hangover and jet lag combined and therefore diluted.
Have whiskey for breakfast if the previous steps didn't work to full effect.
