yeah I have 3 Linksys routers, never had any failures with them. That's my suggestion.
What model though? I bought one of their new UFO-shaped DSL routers for my house in the UK and it's a piece of shit.

They still sell the WRT54-G - its a v2 now. Also check on WBR14-G2 from SMC networks. Not a bad choice either.
