How many cops did you meet? Hardly a representative number, I guess.
I usually respect the police, but the italian police force is the most laziest and hypocrite force in europe.
They never do their work properly.
e.g., few weeks ago we were at this friends house in the center of Rome, and the house is really nice (it has a terrace that has complete 360° view of Rome) so he is pretty wealthy. And then after a while we start to hear loud noises coming down from the street below, so we go look from the terrace there are like 20 nazi skin guys making mess. A friend of us who is a total douche bag, starts to yell "FUCKING SHUT UP YOU FUCKING NAZIS!!!". suddenly the nazi skin guys break the front door and start to climb up the stairs to our friends house. A couple of us run down stairs to the door and lock it and take something to defend our selves and mean while we call the carabinieri. First time nothing, second time nothing, THE THIRD TIME they answer, and the guy goes with a half a sleep voice "Yes?". Mean while the nazis start to break vases and stuff in the hallway and we are trying to tell the police to fucking come here quickly. The police guy goes "oh, ok...give me the address please *and then he goes "OH ALESSA!! MAKE ME A COFFEE* in the FUCKING BACKGROUND!!!!"
The police comes after an hour precisely, when everybody is gone......
So yeah this is the level of professionalism of the police in Rome, sorry Italy.
