A friend of mine thinks that you're not allowed more than two passengers in your car after you pass your test, until you've been driving for two years.

Personally I think this is a loada bollox. Can't find anything to prove them wrong though. Anyone know for sure?

Pretty sure that doesn't exist.

I've had 4 other people in my car plenty of times.

I heard something along those lines Fin.  I been driving for 17 years now, do I need a re-test?  I have to send my licence off to get a new one anyway, I moved 5 years ago and twice since and havent had it updated.

I'd get yours updated. Was reading my provisional form, it's only about £20 and saves you getting a hefty fine when the coppers pull you over.

My step-brother passed his test a while ago and parents never had a problem with him transporting 4 people not including himself. I really think it's bollocks.

I got pulled recently and had something on me I shouldn't have.  It was about 9pm, they saw Mollie and were like 'oh carry on'.  Thanks - fuck off.  I produced my Licence there and then as they did the walkey talkey checks with the bird back at the desk.  It wasn't where I lived but did the trick.

Is it that hard to google things these days? Surely the licensing and motor vehicle authority for your area has a website?

Say I wanted to check conditions on my license.. I'd go here...

He did say that he "couldn't find any evidence against the claim", or something to that effect.

If you can't prove them wrong, can you proof  them right?

I really doubt there is such law. If there is, you'd have heard about it in driving school or found something on google.

Well if said licensing authority website doesn't have anything about restrictions, then it is bs.

Hence why I said to go to the relevant website.

That serious? Cause it's like 70km/h..

Here you're only allowed one person under the age of 19 in your car until you've had your G2 license for 6 months.

There's a possibility the UK has something similar.

It doesn't. I was curious so I read my license documentation. Says nothing of the sort, anywhere.

Yeah people always say shit like that. You don't think if it was true they would FUCKING TELL YOU when you pass or in the documents you get. You can have as many passengers as your car allows.

He's talking shit you can have as many passengers as the car is designed to carry.  There were calls for a passenger limit to be introduced but, they haven't been passed.

News article aboot it if you're interested.

In Aus, as a 17 year old provisional licence holder, I can carry as many people as I want at any legal speed (none of that restriction BS of under 90kms or whatever, like NSW has I think) between 5am and 11pm. Between 11pm and 5am, I can only have 1 other person that isn't in my family in the car with me.

But at that time of night, I wouldn't want anyone else in my car anyway. Most of the time they'd [my friends, associates, etc] be pissed (whatcha gonna do?) and fuck something up, so its better this way.
